Life This Is the Only Cooling Pillow That Keeps Me and My Husband Comfortable in the Texas Heat We have completely different sleep habits, but we both love this pillow. As a stomach and side sleeper, I’ve always loved a supportive and thick pillow, while my husband, on the other hand, gets sweaty at night and prefers no pillow at all. We were resigned to having completely separate sides of the bed until we tried Purple's new Harmony Pillow, and we’ve never fallen asleep quicker. Cooling pillows tend to only stay cool for a few minutes after laying your head down, but Purple’s cooling pillow stays crisp all night long; even in blisteringly hot Texas, we both stay comfortable and no longer wake up with sweaty necks. The pillow is constructed of a latex fill encased in a gel honeycomb grid that keeps it from getting stuffy, all of which is in a moisture-wicking knit cover. Purple Harmony Pillow Amazon $199 at Amazon $199 at Purple The pillow is available in three heights: low, medium, and tall. Depending on what type of sleeper you are will determine your best fit. We got the mediums and found them to be a great height for our combination sleeping habits—we rotate from being stomach and side sleepers. However, we probably could’ve gotten away with the low-loft pillow which is designed for stomach sleepers. The tall pillow; however, is best for side and combination sleepers. Incredibly supportive without being too elevated, the medium is 6.5 inches tall which suits our needs. Although my husband and I are not similar in size, based on our personal sleeping preferences—him wanting his head practically flat on the mattress, and me liking a bit more height to sink into—medium was the right choice for both of us. Too tall of a pillow can cause neck strain and too low of a pillow can be not enough support so take your frame and personal preference into account when choosing a pillow. The low is 5.5 inches tall and the tall is 7.5 inches tall. And you can choose between regular or king sizes depending on your bed size. Care for the pillows is easy, the knit covering and gel honeycomb are attached and unzip to remove the latex core. The cover machine-washes cold and the latex core can be spot cleaned. However, we’ve had a baby spit-up incident and the thick cover blocked the latex core from getting dirty at all. We just popped the cover in the wash, let it air-dry, and it was good as new. Purple’s Harmony Pillow did the impossible, it got my husband and I to agree on a pillow that keeps us cool and supported all night long. I guess you can say, we’re in sleep-habit harmony.
