This $6 TikTok Hack Will Help Declutter Your Books Using an Unexpected IKEA Product

If you’re a book lover, chances are you collect them faster than you can read them. And if you have a stack of books cluttering your bedside table, you might wonder how to make more space for your beloved page-turners. This TikTok hack from @GrilloDesigns uses IKEA OSBIT racks in an unexpected way: to form a bookshelf.

The caption on DIYer Median Grillo’s video, which now has more than 270,000 views, says, “Sharing one of my all-time favorite bedroom hacks (again) … turning a dish/plate rack into a bookshelf! But this time, I’m making it a little bigger by adding three more IKEA OSBIT racks to accommodate some of my newest books. Definitely save this one to try if you haven’t already! What do you think?”

The results are stunning. To adhere the racks to the wall, Grillo uses adhesive hooks, which can easily be removed and repositioned without damaging walls.  The racks are stacked one on top of the other to create an eye-catching vertical bookshelf.

The best part? You can color-coordinate the books for an artistic display. Try books of the same color or ombre shades for a more dramatic look.
