We Asked Interior Designers What Decor They’re Buying for Fall, and All 10 Items Are Under $50

Halloween and Thanksgiving are fun reasons to decorate, but they are not the only reasons to decorate this fall. Whether you enjoy the rich, rustic colors of harvest time—think warm reds, oranges, and golds—or you prefer to embrace a more sophisticated color palette, there’s plenty of home decor to celebrate autumn.

Anproor Natural Dried Pampas Grass Decor

Leaves, acorns, and pinecones aren’t the only natural elements to add to your autumn decor. Place a bunch of these wispy pampas grass pieces into a vase, place it on a mantle or table for a centerpiece, or weave them through a wreath for your door. McDaniel says, “This natural dried pampas grass creates feather texture and adds depth to your fall decor.”

A table runner is an easy way to “dress” a tabletop for the season, be it a dining table or a coffee table. Priyanshi Jain, architect, interior designer, and founder of Pixels and Spaces, recommends this fringed cotton table runner in cream with a wide rust stripe. “The neutral tones and woven texture add a touch of warmth and autumnal charm,” she says.

LiTiu Fall Wall Art Prints Decor

Running out of surfaces to place decor? Seasonal wall art might be the solution for your space. This set of four posters features various types of leaves and a pumpkin design. Candles add warmth and ambient light to a space, although the decorative jar this candle comes in is attractive enough on its own. Diane Rath, founder and principal designer at The Rath Project, says, “Voluspa candles look gorgeous sitting on any surface with their beautiful glass containers, and this color blends beautifully into any fall centerpiece.” She’s partial to the baltic amber scent, though there are 10 other scents to choose from.

It’s the harvest season, so allow your autumn decor to feature some rustic flair by placing something like this beautiful stoneware pottery bowl on a countertop or table. “[It’s] the perfect container to display all those picked fall apples on your kitchen counter or table,” says Rath. We also think it’s perfect to hold Halloween candy.

"This table lamp is the perfect way to incorporate color and that quintessential fall vibe to your home without making your fall decor feel generic or trendy,” she says. She loves the textured finish and suggests adding a warm bulb, not a cool one, “to achieve that ambient, cozy glow we love in our seasonal spaces."

Cullen thinks this trio of candlesticks is “the perfect addition” to your mantle or tablescape this fall. “The brushed gold finish and asymmetrical shape give us that rustic look and feel that we associate with autumn,” she says. Gold decor also brings “an element of warmth to any room design,” so you might consider leaving these candle holders out all year.
