I'm an Amazon-Obsessed Shopping Editor, and I’ve Been Waiting All Summer for These 7 Labor Day Sales

Amazon’s Labor Day sale happens to be one of the biggest shopping events around to close out the summer. So you know I cannot help but do a little browsing for myself—especially while deals from top brands are this low.

As Real Simple’s Amazon shopping expert, I professionally scope out the best deals on a daily basis. And because I keep tabs on the steepest prices, you could say it helps me save big when I’m doing my own shopping. Case in point: these Labor Day sales on Gap, Maybelline, Le Creuset, and Cadence. Right now, I’m seeing deals on home, fashion, and kitchen items for up to 65 percent off, but it’s unclear how long they’ll last.

Gap Pocket T-Shirt Dress

I keep seeing this Gap T-shirt dress everywhere, and it’s just about time to take the plunge now that it’s only $14. I practically live in Gap shirts, and this relaxed dress is just a longer version of it, giving me an entire outfit in one go. The dress has a crew neckline, short sleeves, and a little breast pocket detail. And because it has an easy-going fit, I can wear it comfortably all day. I plan to pair it with a chunky cardigan or denim jacket once the weather cools down, too.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Washable Mascara

I just finished my last tube of this Maybelline mascara, so I’m in need of another. I keep going back to the Lash Sensational mascara because it has a flexible bristle brush that coats my all lashes, giving me that “awake” look, even if it’s 7 a.m. I also love the liquid formula that lengthens, but never clumps. 

Miulee Striped Corduroy Pillow Covers

Giving my throw pillows a seasonal feel is easy with these Miulee textured covers. They have a hidden zipper that’ll let me slip ‘em over my existing throw pillows, so I don’t have to buy a whole new set of cushions. I also love the corduroy look of these, especially in this rust hue for fall.  

Le Creuset Pumpkin Mini Cocotte

Speaking of fall, these Le Creuset mini cocottes are very on trend. The pumpkin design is so adorable, complete with fruit’s ribs and a stem. And while it’ll look good on my countertop, the cocotte isn’t just a decor piece: the stoneware dish can serve nuts and snacks and be used in the oven to cook dips, too. 

Saodimallsu Cap-Sleeve Knit Top

This stylish knit top is the perfect piece to wear now and in the fall. It has cap sleeves, a high neckline, and that sweater-like material that’s very fashionable. I’m also into the exposed stitching that lines the front and sleeves, which gives it a unique appearance. The top comes in several autumnal hues, including dark green, brown, orange, and khaki. 

Cadence Travel Container Skincare Set

After testing the Cadence Body Care Set, I was hooked. This set caters to my skincare routine while I’m on vacation. The set comes with three containers for my cleanser, moisturizer, and facial sunscreen (or really anything else I’d need). Just like the original set, this one is leak proof and has a magnetic design, so I’ll be able to find them all in my cosmetic bag at once.      

Wonderwin Silicone Heel Protectors

OK, I’ll admit: I’ve been influenced. I saw someone post about wearing heel protectors with their boots, and I knew I had to get a pair. These heel protectors have a silicone makeup that goes around the foot to protect the heel and ankle area, aka the spot where I always get blisters. I’m excited to try this with my Dr. Martens, which I’ve been trying to break in for, oh, eight years?
